The session of Sweet Hollow suspended all church activities (including worship) and close our buildings to both members and outside groups until further notice. This decision has many implications on our social, spiritual, and financial life -- some of which may be blessings. Please stay connected to one another. Make phone calls and write notes, visit our Facebook page and website. Pray and read the Bible. Check your email regularly.
Protestant reformers faced social and political dangers, as well as the health crisis of the black death. Psalm 46 was a favorite reading in times of trial. As our own lives grow quieter in this quarantine, consider Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God!" Be still. Don't fight. Don't worry. Take a deep breath. Be still. Know that God is God. No one and nothing can threaten God's rule. No one and nothing can separate us from God. God alone is the healer and savior of the world.
